Seller has good feedback, but obvious concerns here. Labeled "USA MARKET" supposedly to indicate it is the top quality (what a dumb thing to stamp on the blade).

I have wanted a flipper with a spear/dropoint in S125V for a long time, but dealing with Russian Federation seems to be either great or terrible with not much between.

Any thoughts on this or suggestions for similar in under $500 would be helpful. I don't have a ton of money, I'd have to sell one of my nicest to buy one

It's in the description. Not posted or linked for the obvious reasons. Just like the Canadian seized knife thread, it's a blatant "look" as in "Imitation is the highest form of flattery". Or, um as Bono said:
"It's no secret that a conscience can sometimes be a pest
It's no secret ambition bites the nails of success
Every artist is a cannibal, every poet is a thief
All kill their inspiration and sing about the grief..."

dude, you're preaching to the choir, but S125V in a flipper isn't something that US knifemakers are usually willing to "waste" their belts on
So, are you asking about Andrey Biryukov's knives? From what I've read he builds excellent knives for fair prices.

I guess I am, thanks!
I don't know as much as you do on this apparently. Don't take your knowledge, expertise, and experience for granted- it looks like this is your livelihood so don't forget that you possess a level of understanding that even most long-time knife enthusiasts don't have.

Another tell-tale sign is the blade you posted in S125V is marked 64HRC. All of the legitimate Biryukovs I’ve seen in S125V are marked 63HRC.

If you’re looking for a REAL Biryukov in S125V for a pantload less than $500.00, let me know. It’s from a US dealer who is more than trustworthy. And yes, it’s carbon fiber.
Id like to have that link sent to me... if possible.
