Have you guys heard of or dealt with Merchant Woodcutters rom Australia? They are offering Ringed Gidgee and I thought I'd get some feedback, if possible. Thanks, Lin Rhea

As long as they're not owned by Steve Fillicietti, you're probably ok. ;)

I have not heard of them, did a local search on google and could not find them. Post some more info and I'll have another look.

Thanks guys. I looked on ebay and found that they have a seller's ID and they checked out OK( 100% feedback ). They have been very prompt with their emails and seem quite professional. I have an order pending right now and hope to get the ringed gidgee pretty soon. Thanks, Lin:)

Tom I believe the seller name is " Bushworker ". Or do a search for "ringed gidgee" on ebay. I really like the wood and have been trying to find a supplier. I will be picky about the knives I put it on, though. Check em out, Lin

Lin,

I've bought from this person, I think I was the first customer (seigegun).
No problems and the timber I bought (mallee burl) is excellent.

You mean Bruce, now I know who you're talking about. Top bloke, new to knifemaking and just loves his timber. Did not know he was up and running yet, has been supplying wood turners for a long time. Has started sending blocks off for stabilising. Would rather burn a average piece than sell it, you won't get a bad piece from him.

Anyone from Oz reading this, Bruce will have a table at the Adelaide Knife Show in November.

Thats right, their names are Bruce and Stephanie Merchant. When I get the wood, I'll holler back and let you know what I think about it. Feel better about it now anyway. Ya know, they even type with an accent!
Thanks guys, Lin
