ever moved out of your old knives for more HI?

That might sound like an inherently dumb question at face value.

"Sure I have! HI is teh best!"

well, let me expand on the idea... I've got some great knives, but I got them for some attribute such as a unique shape or interesting design - but then never use them because, while they are very high quality knives, they just aren't anything I'll ever use, and so to some extent, I might as well take a picture of them and hang that on the wall for all teh good they are doing my.

Conversely, I've been thinking lately that I could move some of these and use those funds to buy more HI knives which I would use. Th rub is that then those knves I sell will most likely neveer get replaced - but again,if I'm never using them...?

What are the thoughts of The Hive?

Happened to me a decade ago. Aside from a few folders or "what the heck" purchases, I don't see a need for other knives. The other stuff sits in a box or gets "gifted" off to those who might use them.Sold a few back in the day when I had to. Any time I need anything larger than a 4" folder, I grab a Khuk.

Well being one of the old original H.I. Curmudgeon's methinks my input might be of some small service to you. Although I am no longer able to use a khukuri there are still a few I'm thinking about hanging onto even though I'm not entirely sure about that yet as it is extremely hard to decide no matter whether I'm able to use them or not.
On the other hand I have a boat load of khukuris I really do need to pass on to folks better able to use them than I am. The only reason I haven't listed them for sale in the proper forum is my inability to be online as I need too be in order too properly take care of what I have listed for sale. If I could be online at anytime I wished like I once was I'd have them listed for sale in a New York Second!!! But I value my reputation too much to even slip up once!
