Ever see (or use) a multi-tool holster like this?

Found this on Blade-tech's website:

Is available in for a wide range of tools plus option of finishes. Price is $26 plus shipping. Tension adjustable I believe. They've had these for a few years now and I'm tempted to try one since the leather pouch that came with my Wave is showing signs of wear and rot.

Comments? Opinions?

Looks sweet... we'll see how my Wave holster holds up, I only got it 2 days ago. I could use something like that for my Inova X5T though, its already starting to fray(sp?) after maybe 2 weeks.

I have one kinda like that I would sell you. Used it all of one day. It holds the tool tighter than I liked.

I don't like the fact that the tool IS sticking out of the pouch. As if you're trying to say that 'Hey, I have a multi tool and I can fix better than YOU do!!' :grumpy:

I see what your saying as here in the UK we dont tend to carry knives and multi tools in that way because of the laws we have here , its far better to have it out of sight out of mind thus not drawing any unwanted attention to yourself , i tend to keep my LM supertool 200 in its sheath in my pocket .The other drawback i can see from this way of carry is all the grit and crap that can find its way into the tool because the top half is exposed.

on a plus side i can see the advantages of this carry for quick deployment for say emergency services

Same here. That, and my wave was too exposed and would catch on things or scratch things. I went back to my bianchi-molded original LMWave holster (I think the new ones are "floppy", whereas mine holds its shape), converted it to horizontal carry and haven't changed my mode of carry in several years.

Horizontal carry is IMHO the best way to carry a MT. Worst case scenario you could get a mobile phone one to keep the sheeple from bleeting.
