This was an experiment that turned out really well!! I've only ever seen 1 pimped kershaw leek before, I think because the spring assist is so complicated that it'd be really hard. Especially for such a small (and cheap) knife.

But! I tried an idea and it worked! Spring assist fully functional! :D This is micarta. I just thought I'd show you guys.

Cheers!

The spring assist is pretty simple ;) great work though! How does it feel in hand?

Thanks! haha yeah it's a pretty simple as far as spring assists go, but the machining/milling on the inside of the scale if you are making on is much more complicated. It's different from a ZT in that the metal plate doesn't go down the full handle but is an insert.

But feels great in the hand! The scale end up thicker than the original one. but if I had contoured the pattern to fit my hand it would be much more comfortable.

Very nice Pimp job I must say.

But yea I've seen a bunch of Pimped Leeks.

Just check eBay, there are a few up there now and then.

But overall great job!

Thank you very much my friend! You've seen a bunch of pimped leeks? I've seen modified and limited production runs of various materials, but I've only ever seen one "custom scale" (as you might call it) for a leek. But anyways, thank you very much!

God bless!

I don't pimp out my knives to strange men. I give them the respect that they deserve.

Just kidding. It looks really nice. One of the things that I hate about my Leek is the slippery smooth handle, and the G10 version's been discontinued.

haha always be good to your knives and never give them to strange men :P

Thanks! yeah that's true it is a very smooth handle. I never really bothered me too much though because it's just a light edc. G10's been discontinued? Didn't know that.

Cheers!

Looks good. Will it be a user ir a safe queen?

Thanks! Eh, a little of both I guess. I messed up on the countersink for the pivot screw and one of the body screws so it's far from perfect. I'm going to be getting a drill press very soon though so that shouldn't be a problem any more :-)
