Ever seen a Strider marked this way?

I just got this SMF from the exchange, and everything looks good except the blade markings. Is this legit?

You mean like AFEES Exchange, and if so, I doubt they would buy Strider's from questionable sources. As for the marking, it looks legit in that it's in the appropriate spot on the left side of the blade. What do you find fishy?

It's raised, where as my others are stamped and recessed. It also seems like the letters aren't properly spaced.

Here's my SNG.

I got it on the knife exchange here from another member.

Here's a Starlingear SNG with the same marking as the OP's...

lol...they're all different. Guess they change their stamp as often as the lock geometry.

My lock is the tightest I own of all frame-locks, so I can't complain. (and I have a few frame-locks)

Ok so maybe this one's ok. The spacing was what got me wondering, but I'm a signmaker so I guess it stands out more to me.

Yeah it is a little sloppy but everything else looks good that I can see...pivot, blade finish, shape, jimping, stud, hole, etc.

Here's my CPM154 SnG CC - spot on. I reckon the stamp will change as does the blade steel. Part of what makes Strider interesting.

What the hey, the worst thing that could happen is that it's a counterfeit Chinese copy. You know what, the more I look at it and compare it to another Strider, yes OP, that is some real concerning stamping/etching/engraving/painting, whatever logo....

Well that's obviously a fake but oddly enough the stamp is cleaner the the OP's.

I really don't think he has anything to worry about though, literally every stamp in this thread is different.

I'd be concerned about the letters being raised instead of stamped.
