Ever seen this before

Here is a picture of one of Alaska's pioneer brown bear guides Bill Pinnell at the seen of an outstanding find, from in the '60s. A brown bear skull, a human skull and a broken rifle. That's all I know about it at this point but I will try to find out more. I learn't to hunt brown bear from a guy named Joe Want who learn't from the guy in the picture (the live one). Joe carries scars from a brown bear mauling that he got in the same general area. I guided for brown bears for 15 years and fortunately stayed out of the hand-to-hand combat. That'll make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.

Great picture Mark. Just goes to show ya, rifle wasn't enough; poor guy needed a well built custom knife.
