Drove by our local playground last summer and noticed they had torn the old equipment out to replace it (swings, slides etc.), they had also dug the topsoil out down to the original clay, the park was built in the 1800’s so on a whim I grabbed my metal detector (I kept in my truck at the time) and jumped into the hole, I found dozens of coins dating mostly in the 60’s-70’s but a couple 1914 penny’s and one 1912 penny, I kept hitting a number with my Garrett AT that was odd and showing 12” + deep, I passed it 3 times but finally decided to dig it before I left, it was about 14” down in the clay that I found this pocket knife, it says “McKenna Bros Brass Co” on one handle and “Blue Chip” on the other handle, research shows the McKenna Bros Brass Co was in business from 1899-1910 in Pennsylvania (my park is Lebanon Ohio), then became Kenna Metals which is still in business today, sorry for the long story but really curious if anyone has ever seen a better version of this knife, I would love to see it.
