As my Emerson knife addiction has grown I just got a Super Commander. Problem is though the blade during shipping has been bit by the middle standoff. None of my other emersons has this problem. I searched and nothing came up. Ill post pictures later if nessary. It seems like the dentent is so weak it lets the blade go past what it should.

Contacted emerson but got a email failure notice.

Give them a call monday morning would be my advice. They have great customer service. I have never heard of this issue but i am a noob compared to most here.

I had that same issue with a super commander. Tiny nick in the blade from the standoff. The blade would close but could then be pushed further and made contact with one of the middle standoffs. I sent it in and they sharpened it out but it probably would have been quicker to do it myself. After I got it back it didn't touch the standoff again.

Did you email through the website form or did you send a separate email to info@emersonknives.com?

Thanks. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Just another in a long line of signs indicating incredible customer service. Hope all works out well, though i am sure it will.

Talked to the head of assembly. It's hard to diagnose anything without seeing the knife so unfortunately you'll have to send it in. It's a rare case that's for sure. It won't cost you a dime. The email is working just fine so that issue may be on your end. Thanks

Before when contacting I used the online form. It was on my phone though. Called in today and the lady said to send it in. With the fee though. Thanks for getting back to me so fast!

Sure! The fee will be refunded once the warranty repair is taken care of.

See? We need the stinking warranties. Excellent customer service by the way.
While the warranty is great. Note does have to be taken on the fact that. Paying 14$ for the shipping after paying for it to go to the factory is rough. I was not the one who made the knife. I was able to get the knife on a fair deal. Now after paying for the shipping both ways im right back to the price i didn't want to pay in the first place. Paying is understandable when its something that was not the factorys fault. This has made me rethink emersons in general.

The Emerson Rep said the shipping would be refunded once the warranty repair is completed. If you got charged, you should think about calling EKI to communicate the issue so it can be resolved.
