selling all you knifemaking equipment and using the money to buy a boat. i remember when this used to be so much fun..but now it seems like every time i try to get out and get some work done..something breaks..or otherwise seems to get screwed up..anyway ..i am not having a sale just yet but who knows..

I have bought two large jon boats in the last couple years but I ain't selling my knife making equipment, when I'm not fishing, I'm making knives :D

I think you should keep your stuff and get a boat

You can borrow or rent a boat. Hard to do that with knife equipment.

Maybe it will cool down here in the midwest soon, Don, and you can get that boat wet.

Years ago I sold my motorcycle because the family wanted a boat. Got the boat used it 3 times in two years, decided to sell boat to put in a new deck. Something came up and never got the deck built. Fours years later went out an got myself another motorcycle. Don't know why I ever thought I could do without one. Keep the equipment take a break for awhile, sometimes it takes a long long time to get back to what you already had.

Ok im back..and i know "theres no crying in knife making" so im done its amazing what a full day of riding my roadglide will do..thanks guys later

Good for you Swede, a full day of riding,, stuff of dreams around my house. My dilemma is that I want so bad to be doing more shop work and less " making the man rich" work. I have a great "plan" but it is just a stones throw out of reach. The wife even okayed me spending money on classes/hammerins/self-improvment for the cause. I have all the tools I need, now I just need TIME! So i am pretty much in the opposite boat as you,,,lol. Be thankful you can have time to screw something up,,,lol.

Never sell something you love; put it aside, you will get back to it in time.

Only as a last resort should it go on the auction block. If the thrill is gone; do

we have an opening bid?
