If there's a knife in my pocket, it's ALWAYS a folder. All of my fixed blades usually stay on my shelf until I'm headed into the woods or playing with them/sharpening and maintaining them. However, I just got a BK14 Eskabar and when I'm around the house it's been what's in my pocket.

So today I was playing with my daughter in the backyard and I stopped to cut down some rope from when my girlfriend hung something up last week and when I went to put my Eskabar back into my pocket I totally forgot it was a fixed blade and found my fingers absentmindedly groping for a frame lock or lockback to close it with. Almost as soon as I looked down to find out what the problem was I instantaneously realized I was an idiot :o.

Anyone else ever do this? Fess up so I can feel like I'm not the only airhead.

Yeah, fessing up. Done it.

Will do it again, as long as I carry fixed and folders. :D

Which will be a lifetime, I think.
