Ever wonder what a deep-carry Tenacious in 11 colors of G-10 would look like? Well...

I got bored and decided to Photoshop up some pictures.

My dream is a Tenacious or Persistance in some premium steel (I photoshopped VG-10 onto the blade, but of course it is a Japanese steel and the Tenacious is Chinese) with a full metal deep carry clip and in some wacky G-10 color... And, a ~$80-100 price tag. Wouldn't that be swell.

Anyway, enjoy the view I guess. If you want me to do another color of G-10, the .psd is easily adjustable, so just post a reference picture with the color and I'll do it.

I would kill for the red and black.......the white and black is really sweet to!!

i would easily pay 100 bucks for each those the blue is oddly appealing as well. Sal please make these new colors of the tenacious line and maybe with something superior to 8cr like a 14c sankvik :))) those are things of beauty!

I like them
I'd pay $60-$70 if they had vg-10, not much more though

Cool stuff, I don't care about the steel, but yes on the colors and pocket clip!

I think Kershaw is the only one allowed to use that steel, though I could be wrong. How 'bout a USA Tenacious in S30V?

I love the darker purple with black blade and I normally hate blade coatings.
Toxic Green is also awesome.

If they did those colors and VG-10 or something with the deep clip, I'd be in.

What makes you think 14c is superior to 8cr?

In my testing (and others as well, theirs MUCH more scientific than mine) 8cr far outlasts 14c in terms of edge retention.

For pure value (cost vs performance) 8Cr13Mov is just about as good as it gets.

8Cr13Mov is a great steel IMO. Highly underrated because it's looked at as the "China" steel. It seems about as good as 154CM just in my use and sharpening, maybe better. Then again, I'm no steel expert.

I'd love to see Spyderco release a bunch of cool colors for the Tenacious. The lime one you 'shopped is my personal favorite. They did a really nice blue one that you can still get for a ~$5 premium.

This has been hashed over before. Moving the Tenacious line to Golden and using a premium steel would at least double the cost, probably more. Besides the fact that the Golden plant is running at capacity, it would take the Tenacious completely out of it's intended role. Which is to provide a solid low cost quality knife, and also as a hook to get folks to 'Step Up' to the more expensive models. I would be REALLY surprised to see a US made Tenacious.

I really like the yellow and black combo. What I wouldn't give for a USA made yellow and black Tenacious...
