AHHHHHH!!!! I just spent my semolians on that Kora or id do it! Thats a killer price and a Kumar at that!

Can someone tell me how the blade/handle attach together?
Is it traditional katana with 1 pin/dowel (my lack of knowing the proper term).
Thank you in advance!
George

It's like a traditional Khukri. The tang runs through the handle and is peened over on the end.
You can't pop the handle off like a traditional katana with the parts I can never remember the names of.
Bookie and Shavru know all that terminology, they are wicked smart.

I think that pin was mekugi or makugi? It's been a long time!
Handle was easy to remember......ho.
God help me remember the rest.
Thank you Mr Bawanna for the info!

I think there's some barbecue words in there too, like hibachi or George Foreman or something too.

Bookie master of all meaningful trades made a Katana which is a proverbial thing of beauty. There's a thread around here someplace with pictures.
Rumored to be wicked sharp, cuts hairs lengthwise or so it's told.
Yangdu has a very nice genuine Katana I held on one visit. It was really sweet. Don't know that I ever held another real one.
