Everest Katanas afficionados : your opinion please!

I would like an Everest Katanas but I'm hesitating between a STANDARD handle and a CHIRUWA handle... In your opinion, which is more robust? Which do you prefer and why?

I didn't know there was a choice.

I have one of the older ones with a pinned rat tail tang and curved blade. Them kamis went and changed the design on me.

No help here. ... mine is the same as Bruise's. I would imagine that the Chiruwa handle would be stronger, but I can't imagine how much. The old version has pasted too many tests to be considered weak

I actually think I would prefer the old version (after thinking about my old Chiruwa WWII). The handle has a better feel to it in my opinion.

Normally I prefer the standard handle to the chiruwa style, but my EK has a chiruwa handle and I LOVE IT!!!

In summary, I'm no help at all.
