That would have won the "Beckers in strange places" contest hands down. Great pics.
 
Gosh, that is a cool knife. I am wondering why people keep saying that is a nice gator. THERE WAS NO GATOR IN THOSE PICS!!!

Great pics.
I lived in Port Orange for years and loved to watch the gators in the St Johns around Sanford.
 
ok i gotta ask, was this just luck and your knife was there for a while in hopes of these pics, or do you got balls of steel and walked right up to that mouth full a teeth a said "i gotta becker, choose you battles wisely..." and it purred into submission? jk cool pics
 
Great pics! How close was it when you stuck the knife in the ground?
I put the knife there the day before.:D

Seriously, it was an incoming gator (it saw us picnicking) as it approached I stuck the knife in the water and stepped back (a very important safety move). The distance was the same as the picture, a few feet. It probably looks closer than it is.
