I've always wanted to say that! This is the first time in print, and I've never said it out loud!;)
We should all be a little like Jack! A generous, and kind-hearted man as ever there was!
All of us have benefitted from his various tours through the countryside of his stomping grounds!
Jack sends me the odd knife, as he finds one that he judges fits in my collection.
Here are a couple that I just put in a display case, both Saynors. But what are those other fantastic objects??

As we all know, wine doesn't taste as good without them!!:D
I am very fond of forged corkscrews, and Jack has slipped a few into packages to me over time. All of the ones you see in the photo are from Jack!!!
This is my tribute to a good friend! It hangs on the wall in my dining room, as it should!
Thanks JB!!

I am in a waiting room at this minute and so I do my usual and go onto the forums.

For some reason my I Phone has decided that it won't show the photo's - but Jack truly is an extremely thoughtful, generous kind guy. I am proud to call Jack my friend.

Bladeforums would be all the much worse without Jack.

Good on you Jack and thank you - for you - and for choosing a very deserving recipient.

I like what Jack offers on the "Old Knives" thread, and the "Vintage Catalogues" thread, very informative and a wealth of knowledge So, yes, thanks to Jack Black! And that collection of wisdom teeth pullers is very cool also, Charlie.:D Oh wait, their used for something else?

Jack is far more generous than I knew and you have a great collection Charlie. You are very deserving for all that you do for the traditional community.

Jack is amazing in his kindness and extreme generosity:thumbup: he purposely looks into a member's likes and searches for those items when out and about on his adventures. I have been on the receiving end of Jacks generosity MANY times.

"Thank you Jack" seems to fall short of how much I truly appreciate your friendship:o Jack is thoughtful in his hand written notes/postcards which I really appreciate as well. One developes a trained eye when reading his very unique penmanship;););):D

Thank you again buddy, I'm way behind in reciprocating:o

What a cool collection! I love the bowtie corkscrew lol. Very classy!

I've PM'd back and forth with Jack and he is a very kindhearted gentleman. EARL had to have gotten some pointers from him!

That's a fine display of some unusual pieces Charlie. Generous indeed !:thumbup::thumbup::)

Just a wonderful collection and a fine display you have make with it, Charlie!! I have a kitchen table full;) of the thoughtful items ( of which Paul speaks so eloquently ) from the illustrious Jack Black:D Many pieces I have not shown yet. He is one of a kind in manner and heart!!

Thank you Charlie, I'm very honoured to have been able to return some of your kindness and generosity to me, and particularly something hanging on your dining room wall :)

Thank you for the very generous words gents, I've been the recipient of a great deal of kindness from many of you, and from posters here in general. Hard to imagine that there's anywhere with a better bunch of regulars than here :)

I could not have said it any better. 100 % agreed!

I find it very refreshing in today's "it's all about me" culture that seems to be permeating about every aspect of life, that there are still a few places that can be found where people are decent with each other, regardless of background, and enjoy sharing a common interest. Discussions and debates can occur civilally, and all are welcome.

Jack would be a fine example of this in action. Kudos!

Just had a look at the photo's - Wow Jack - amazing pieces, and to me...if I were Charlie ( and I do this to the lovely pieces you have sent me ) I picture you sorting through boxes market after market - and then you see something - and think Yes!!!....then you climb back on the Bus, send it off overseas at such cost!!!
There really is such a massive amount of thought, work, ans cost in your gifting Jack, you really are a treasure of Traditionals.

Thanks for sharing such an interesting display of forged corkscrews and Saynors Charlie, they really are treasures and are as interesting as the man who gave them to you. Your description of Jack is well said and truly accurate. When I first joined the Traditional forums I will always remember how welcome Jack made me feel and both of your constant contributions to this forum are very much appreciated.

Thanks guys, you have both been very kind to me :o

Yep, my original inspiration for joining the forum. I somehow happened upon one of his 'Around Yorkshire With a Knife' tales and knew there and then that this was the life for me. To Jack!!

Thanks Blake, it's good to have you here :)
