This is my latest. Looking to make an everyday carry or camper knife. I picked through the piles of images here and fashioned this one. I have come to the conclusion, I can't have an original thought. My new great ideas have already been used a long time ago by knife makers that have forgotten more than I will know. I try to make my own personal differences and use concepts I learn and see here. If I offend some one by recreating their blade or technic, I can guarantee mine will not be like yours. I ain't that good.

There was quite a bit of discussion about the hardness. After being tested, it was softer than I had wanted, and a retempering was in order as far as I was concerned. My buddy was saying that if he was out where he couldn't find a belt sander or cardboard wheels, he would still want to put an edge on it if it was dull. A 57 would allow that to happen easier. I had to agree. A file or good stone could be your only back up...I still like 59-60.
