Everyday fixed blade carry(orange county, Cali)

Hello,
I live in Orange County, California. From my understanding of my county and state laws, I'm legally allowed to openly carry a fixed blade of any sort. However, I see fixed blade knives that seem like a cop would like to bother me about like some of the knives from Schrade with there questionable sheaths.


Basically what I'm asking is if anyone had an opinion on a good(under $100) fixed blade knife that isn't to long and has a reliable, button or (it's going nowhere) sheath.

First of all, let me be the first to welcome you to Bladeforums. As to the knives themselves....hmmm...it'd be easier to toss off a few, if we knew what the intended uses are:cutting/opening boxes, clam-packs, cutting strings, work, camp, etc.
