I don’t think he’s looking for what you are carrying on any PARTICULAR day, rather what you tend to carry MOST days, or at least tend to favor in terms of pocket time.
Edit:
The last couple of years B.C. ( before COVID), when I used to actually leave the house for work, most days found me with one or the other of these in my pocket:

Now I just sort of fiddle around with whatever catches my eye, while trying to work from my cramped home work space.

A 4 blade Scout/Camp/Demo knife or 3 layer SAK like the Huntsman, and a large (4 inch and larger closed) stockman have been a constant and constant part of my EDC for decades.
I never carry just one knife.
This week I have a (BTI) Old Timer 858OT large stockman, MAM "Operario" friction folder (sheepsfoot blade), and a Marbles MR278 "Demo" knife in my pocket.

Wow, I rotate knives depending on how I am dressed, where I am or at work. I always have a knife. Here are some. Case Peanut, Case Folding 2 Blade Hunter, GEC #54 or #97, Spyderco Para 3, Cold Steel Large Luzon, Buck 110 and Case Trapper.

Since January 2017 it's been this 4" Shadow Trapper made by John Lloyd. The blade is CPM-154, which is my favorite blade steel. Stays sharp and cuts like the dickens. I bought it on the BF Exchange for what I think was a very fair price, and it's just one of my favorite knives.
It's not perfect and I think that's part of it's charm for me, although mechanically there are no flaws. It's got that old timey thing going and I think my dad and grandad would have been happy carrying it too.

This stiff snappy spiky cuttin machine goes in my bumbag...it can open bottles too..
Its an orphan so it was free.

It looks suspiciously like you were reading this thread and just happened to look under your couch at the same time and saw that. It actually looks like a great knife though

Been mostly rotating these four:

From left to right: Laguiole Honoré Durand, 12cm (4 3/4 in.), olive wood handle, 14C28 stainless steel; Opinel No. 8, slightly shorter than the Laguiole, beechwood handle, XC90 carbon steel; Case trapper, 4 1/8 in., smooth white bone handle, stainless steel; Buck 301 stockman, 3 7/8 in., black Valox handle, 420HC stainless steel. The Laguiole is the prettiest and most expensive. I think it has the best steel and the best blade shape and size, perfect for picnics. The Buck knife is best for the pocket--I wouldn't want anything smaller as an "EDC". Very versatile with three blades.

I have at least a dozen other knives that get carried regularly, but these are the most carried at present.

This pair has had the bulk of my "out of the house" pocket time lately. I have a huge collection of SAK alox Cadets, but this Evolution Grip 14 has kicked them out of my LFP pocket for running around. It's a little too heavy and bulky for "at home" carry in lightweight pants or shorts, but the complement of tools is superb. The RFP carry is my Fantoni Dweller in cocobolo. Lightweight, excellent stainless steel, and the most utilitarian single blade I've yet to find. A superb slicer @ 3⅞ inches closed.

This Hiroaki Ohta whittler has been on my belt since I got it, probably 5-6 years now. ZDP-189 main blade @67hrc and ATS-34 secondary blades @61hrc, Desert Ironwood scales, stainless frame with mill relieved liners and bushing pivots. Honestly, enough knife to handle daily needs in perpetuity but where's the fun in that?;)
