Hi all,
Thought you might be interested in how the Busse Custom Shop logo came to be.
I was asked by Jerry and Jennifer to create a logo that looked like it was made of cast metal. They wanted a skull wearing Jerry's hat.
Here's what I initially came up with...
Then I added some more details - some corrosion to the metal texture and the cigar smoke...
It's looking good, but it's not quite right. Jennifer had the idea of putting a respirator on the skull. So using a reference pic of the actual respirators that the crew use in the shop, I added the respirator with a little nuke symbol on it...
Then I had an idea to shove some cigars in the respirator, as this is the sort of thing Jerry would find amusing and give the logo a bit of that Busse personality...
After seeing this, Jennifer told me that Jerry actually has a respirator that he has cut a hole in and stuck a cigar through so he can puff away while grinding our awesome blades. Can you believe it!!! I wouldn't normally, but we're talking about Jerry Busse here, it's fair dinkum. And so the Busse Custom Shop logo was born...
And add a bit of text to finish it off...
