So tell me about the EWOK....

This one looks like something I could get some use out of.

How tall/wide is the blade?
How thick is it through the handle?
Flat ground?

I'm picturing this with that funky green micarta for scales.

Here is mine, the design has changed slightly since it was made.

Mine is 6" overall, 1" tall, 3.5" blade, in 3/32" steel, with cocobolo scales. It is flat ground but John will do either flat or convexed, whichever you prefer. I have 1/4" scales on it, so add 1/2" to the steel thickness for the total handle thickness, but John can do any size scales you want. It is up to you. You can get his standard EWOK or talk with him and customize one the way you want it.

That can't be right buddy, 6"overall with a 3.5" blade....that would make the handle 2.5" and it looks longer than the blade ?

Mine is 6" overall with a 2.5" blade, It's a great knife, with enough handle to really do some work with the smaller blade. I like it alot because it's small enough that people don't freak out when you're using it, or if you have it on your belt. Mine has some light green/grey handles on it (Not the one's John has, I sent them to him and he put them on) and I really like the color. The EWOK is a great knife.

You can have a choice of 3/32" or 1/8" thick blades, and handles can go as thick as around 3/4".

This is cmdionne`s

I've been meaning to get some pictures of mine, but I had misplaced my camera for a couple of weeks, I found it just before I headed out for a hike on saturday but then promptly left it on the kitchen counter.

One of these days.

yo P.. what's happening man..:)

i think you'll definitely like the E.W.O.K... the general blade shape and size are very handy... making it perfect little EDC knife too..

i was recently gifted one, from a very cool forum member.. :D i'll try and get some pics up soon...

What did you select for handle? Liners? any other options?

3/32" stock, no thumb notches, no liners, solid pins, no thong hole, and flat 1/4" green micarta slabs with the edges rounded in a kydex neck/pocket sheath.
I wanted pure function in an easily carried package.
I'm really looking forward to this one.

Maybe John can post some pics when he gets it done.:D

You musta been lost. Surely you weren't in town on purpose.:D

I delivered a load of paper to Domtar paper company. Then I was stuck there for a day at the Freightliner dealer on the west end of town.
Not a bad place actually. I drove up hwy 350 and 219 from I-99 and thought there were some beautiful hiking/fishing areas there. I'd love to actually have some time to explore but alas, I must work.
I'm stuck in Southwest Misery right now and can't explore here either.

We do have some decent hiking/hunting/fishing.:D

Okay, as tired as I was last night I got no sleep.
Because of Udtjim's generosity I will soon be getting an E.W.O.K.
I had to dig this thread up to see others.
