I love the Randall blade and the sheath's makes me wet [ ok,so I am joking ].

SO, it would be very cool if there was a maker that would copy that design and make it for any blade I wanted.

I am willing to pay as I know that would be a difficult job.

Thanks for any input.

Bomber, there are many such sheath makers, most making poor quality knock offs. Greg Gutcher, RMK's sole leather sheath maker for the last 22+ years, is a personal friend; he makes sheaths for several knife makers, RMK included. If you like his work, instead of looking for someone to copy his work, why not just use his services as others do?

Thanks for the info. I have a custom ats-34 skinner that my dad had made for me before he died and I'd love a sheath for it to match the one on my Randall mod 15 that he bought for me when I was a kid.

Which model sheath is it you're looking for?

This community here is loaded with sheath makers that can do an excellent job "replicating" them , they do quality work using quality leather, what else is there?

I exclude myself from that bunch if you're needing a stone pocket on the front.....I make a mess of those things.

Yes, it's an old name that he continues on. He'll make you a sheath in the Randall style, it will just have the Sullivan info where you'd usually see the Randall stuff.

Pretty good advice here. Sheldon, there are also many quality makers that frequent this board who would not touch a "knock off" commission with a ten foot pole, and knowing you as I do, I realize your are aware of this.

I will not personally copy any maker's work, period, and those who come close to copying my work do so with my blessing.

Not intended as a put down for you, as your advice is true and valid.

Paul

Thanks Paul. And yes, my post wasn't in any form or fashion a put down on the quality sheath makers here either - just an attempt to answer the OP's question with an option. I'd green ya if I could. :)

Maybe I'm not seeing something, but in taking a look at the various styles of those sheaths, I don't see anything that hasn't been done by just about anyone who makes sheaths......when I first saw the OP I musta looked right through the "exact copy"
thing and was thinking the style.....I couldn't "exactly" duplicate anyone's work if my life depended on it.
