Wow! Too darn cool!

Every one is different and looks great!

The Atwood collection is awesome with all the different patterns. Warren Thomas has the coolest Damascus look. Snody's work is just off the hook! The Les Voorhies both are nice, the one on the left may be my favorite of them all.

Thanks for posting this!

Nice timing too, I just got my anodizer power supply in last night as well as lots of great supplies for anodizing... Ti wire for making hooks, etc. I'm psyched!

they all look great!, I've always wondered how they do the multicolored anodizing and the designs etc, any ideas?

I have no idea how ANY of them are done. The Snody items pictured are heavily etched which must somehow help account for the brilliant contrasting colors. And I think having the texture adds as much to the beauty as the coloring. It seems to me texturing would add to the grippiness if one were anodizing knife scales. I don't recall seeing other knifemakers using that etching technique on their knives.

I just posted these so Daniel would have some inspiration as he enters the world of anodizing. There's so much cool stuff out there. I would have posted a pic or two of the anodizing on a Snody Crisis Card but didn't see the need for it. :)

They do look cool don't they. Different voltages make different colors and that is all I know for sure at the moment.

Dan, the wt stuff is Damascus. It's moku Ti. http://www.chadnicholsdamascus.com/mokuti.html

I really could be wrong but I thought it was his "fingerprint pattern" anodixing which only WT knows how to do.

Here's one that I know is fingerprint pattern http://www.wtknives.com/knifepages/damtanto/damtanto_01.html it looks exactly like damascus to me.

The anodizing on the Snody CC is just insane, that is the one of the reasons why I got an anodizer. The anodized finish is way brighter than a heat colored finish. He gets great photos but they do the Crisis Card no justice, it just stands out in person.

I like that textured look and feel, I guess it is a beadblast and etch. I can get a nice orangepeel finish and I am a huge fan of blasted finishes.

I can't wait to play with my anodizer!
