Hi to all members of the forum.
I'm here to show you some pictures of my latest work
I called it excavata, because of the work that I did it on the handle.It's in Latin.
Well, its a 7" forged in the integral way;
The steel is 52100;
a thin false edge;
a delicate work in the bolster area;
The handle is desert ironwood, that I did some carving on it;
The sheath is made of bufalo leather with a sharkskin inlay on it;
the button is made of stainless steel;
It was one of the toughest projects that I ever did until now, but it was really fun to do it;
Hope you guys like it;

Thanks guys for the nice words.
I really enjoyed doing this work;
Hard, but you only need a little patience and persistence.
Best regards

Wow! Daniel, that knife is outstanding! The carving is really exquisite!
The overall flow is simple and beautiful, and the details are fantastic.
Great work! Your JS test will be no trouble at all with knives like that.
I hope everything is going good down there for you. We are really glad that you are back in the knife shop.

Adam-

I have no idea how you keep the carvings in the handle straight and even like that. Even one of those flutes would be hard, but all of them matching each other...wow.

Thanks guys
Adam, good to hear from you.
Send my regards to Haley.
Hopefully next year I`ll be at BladeShow for my JS
Sorry for the pics, I really need to learn more about taking pictures...

A true work of art! the sheath and knife show equal amounts of attention and a well thought out design.

Clean simplicity of the blade, elegant carving on bolster and handle that still matches, and superior sheath work: marvelous knife, Daniel.
