A few weeks ago, I ordered a Thamar Shamser that was marked as delivered by USPS but never showed up. I filed a claim with USPS, but since I had no proof that I didn't receive the package, I was denied. I then filed two appeals and those were denied as well. I then emailed Yangdu and told her about the situation, and she offered to send me a replacement at her own expense. Two days later, this showed up!

As with all of my other HI purchases, I am very happy with the quality of this knife. And I would like to thank Yangdu for going above and beyond in customer service.

shame the PO has fallen so low. praise for aunty still deserving the pedestal we put her on. she at least is upholding the ethics the rest of america is sadly losing.

Yup. It's sad a small business such as HI has to take up the slack when the USA government drops the ball.

Probably stolen off the front porch but still not Yangdu's fault.

Simply put, "Auntie is one extraordinary person, as a lady, and a businesswoman", period.

as this keeps occurring it may seem that signature required may become a fact of life
yes it may slow some deliveries as we cant sit by the mailbox waiting but it beats stolen knives

One of the benefits of living in the woods is I don't have a mail box. All I have is a post office box which I check a few times a week.

You got a shotgun dont you? I never understood how you could possibly prove you did not receive something?? Theres something seriously wrong with that reasoning.

Ndoghouse, were you talking to me? The reason I don't have a mail box is the post office does not deliver where I live. I do have a shotgun, ar-15, hunting rifles, and knives and pistols. Also a dog.

Yeah! I been there myself. Nothing like the boonies! I used to live on a Caribbean island and the whole island was general delivery. No street names. They would just label the package "West end Tortola BVI" with my name on it. Somehow it got to me :) There was an intersection where someones spare tire fell off the back of the truck and landed in the middle of the intersection which eventually became a roundabout after the grass started growing around and inside of it. They would describe the location as "the tire". The police station was at the big "Tamarind tree" etc. but everyone knew where you were tho. The queen came to visit the island and they filmed "The Deep" (Jaquelin Bissett) and Earnest Hemingway's "The Old man in the Sea" and eventually they had to name the streets and all. Then they made us register our cars and print our own license plates. I kinda liked it before all that crap. Prolly much like a bunch of them villages in Nepal today!
