Excellent fire tinder

The wife and I were at the local Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH) and I picked up a 2# bag of fatwood for a few $. I peeled up some curls and placed them in an Altoids tin with some moss. The Mora did a great job.

Yeah, it's a nice old bag. It was a gift from a pard of mine. I don't know much about it, except that a retired neighbor of his had made it for use as a hunting bag several decades ago. I am assuming he carried it on hunts in Russia, which is where he is from.
