I am looking for an excellent flashlight with good battery life that is very bright, has a clip for clipping onto a hat or a loop for around the hand, and that is 50 doll hairs or less. Thanks a lot!

I just ordered a Quark 123^2 R5 edition and paid just over fifty including shipping.

I have the following lights:
Fenix PD30
Fenix PD20
Fenix LD10
Fenix LD01 Stainless

Maratac AAA Stainless

Nitecore EX10
Nitecore D10

4Sevens Mini 123

Here is why I went with the Quark for my latest purchase. The moonlight setting.

None of the others have a low "low enough" to suit my needs. I arise way before the rest of the family and creep around getting ready for my day. That super low lumen output is going to be dang handy for that daily hassle. I also work a side job at a movie theater and the others don't have a low that is suitable for taking care of problems in a dark theater without disturbing the patrons.

Add in the 230 out the front lumen rating for the high, a strobe feature to help me in my Sunday night traffic control, well spaced settings for the other brightness levels, a pocket clip......and the dang thing was on sale?

It was a no brainer. These prices include shipping.

If you don't fancy that, I can attest that ALL of my Fenix lights have been trouble free right out of the box. Excellent lights.

Regards.

I have a Mini 123 and my son has one. Mine was one of the first ones out and has loose fitting threads but other than that is a decent light.

My son's mini has tighter threads....but a greenish tint.

Either way, still a pretty decent EDC light. Use CPF8 in the coupon code part for 8 percent off.

OP, you probably ordered the light already.. but yesterday I received two Quarks: a Regular AA and a Mini AA.

The Mini AA is great and I love it, but the Regular AA has some quality control issues and I will be returning it. The tailcap threads are not as smooth as advertised, and the o-ring fits poorly making it extremely hard to screw the tailcap on and off. If you google "quark AA o-ring" you will find more on the subject. I do like the moon mode but the tailcap kills it for me. Just my 2 cents.

I've got an Olight T25 Tactical that I carry for work and when hiking and stuff. 2xAA, great battery life, and useful modes. I got it locally for about $45.
