This cutlery was in operation out of Connecticut between 1880-1884 before they were bought out by Northfield. These are rare birds due to their age and the short time that the cutlery was open. This one is probably my oldest knife, and I am proud to own such a fine piece of old cutlery! Besides, it is just over 5 times my age!

Look at the jigging on this bone! WOW!

Fantastic knife Evan:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I enjoy nothing more than scoring a rare vintage knife...kind of a sad life I live:D;)

Wow, fantastic find Evan, and in beautiful condition! Congratulations :thumbup:

Hey, I've got tins in my kitchen cupboard that are older than you! ;)

Evan, that is stunning! That jigging is very cool, never seen a pattern like that=looks like tire tread. Beauty of a knife!
Thans for the glance

Peace and Love

Great knife and that bone is amazing!! Finding them in nice condition is hard. Here is the only one I own and am really lucky to have it. The etch is what makes it I think.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone, I am indeed lucky.

Mike, that cattle knife is awesome!! I can't believe that etch is in such good shape!!

Outstanding! Congrats on that one!

Mr. Galvanic, are sure the pearl Cattle knife is 130 years old ? Might it be a Parker reproduction ?
kj

No it is not a repro it's the real deal for sure. I've had it for years. It came from a group of knives that belonged to the former President of Western.

Beautiful Excelsior, esnyx, very nice find.:thumbup: Stunning cattle knife, Mike, boogles my mind how you come up with so many old knives with great etches.
