I recently traded for an original model Buck Strider folding tanto that ended-up having a loose blade. I corresponded with Buck and was happy to discover that their warranty coverage follows the knife (not the original owner) and so sent the knife in for warranty repairs.
Rather than simply repair the knife, Bucks Q.A. Supervisor, Jeff Hubbard, replaced it with a brand-new, new style Buck Strider tanto. Jeff explained that the new knife, should perform much better over time, and does not have the issues you had on the last one. I was extremely impressed by Bucks outstanding warranty coverage and replacement of this knife- especially considering that I wasnt even the original owner.
Id always heard that Buck had great customer service, and now Ive had the pleasure of experiencing it first hand. Buck has definitely made a believer (and customer) out of me!
I'd also like to thank Buck's Josh Rummerfield for his kind help and assistance in this matter.
