Is the exchange closed today? I wished to list a knife but am unable to post - the post new thread button isn't present.

EDIT: Fascinating. I was a Gold Member an hour ago and now I'm not. I think this has to do with a mod getting angry that I wouldn't hide my sales information after a sale.

Your membership has expired. No conspiracies. You haven't posted a sale since last year. It's your prerogative to leave or remove the sales price.

Mods font care if you take prices down.

They just get angry when I wear my tinfoil hat..... keeps them from recording my thoughts!

That's what you think.....because we say so.
The intrusive thoughtometer is a wonderful instrument...
For the holidays, I think it's time we pegged the meter on you.

We'll make you think the exchange is closed also.

You might have eaten too much turkey or imbibed too many spirits if that is what your real thoughts are. Check your bank/Paypal statements when did you pay for your membership? Your membership ran out champ, no conspiracy against you here.

Hehe...I think it's reasonable to wonder how, when I logged in yesterday morning it said I had a Gold Membership. Must have been a website error but we can pretend I indicated there was a conspiracy. Not a problem! :)

I definitely recall someone named Kevin getting irritated that I chose not to erase all sale details. I said I liked to keep them up as a sort of public service for the other folks here - comparables are useful when you want to price a knife. Moreover, I told him that if he had a way to track price trends there was value to him in that information. He informed me that there are no price trends to knives, that any given knife can sell in the exchange for $10 one day to $4500 the next. It's not like any other marketplace (cars, antiques, durable goods, real estate) I've seen but I'll take his word for it. He's the expert. I need a new car and am waiting for the day a 2014 Accord appears for $150. :)

I don't see the point in your analogy. Again, if you can take the time to search through your records, you can verify when you paid your membership and when it expired. Only you can do that.
If you did something to piss off Kevin, He isn't shy and I am certain he would have let you know and we wouldn't be having this conversation. This one might go for slightly more than your budget:

Pretty sure you both are talking about different Kevins.
Spark doesn't care about sales details.

Our postings must have crossed since I already explained the "there are no price trends to knife sales" assertion (from whatever Kevin it was) and how it came about. Done and done. :) Happy Thanksgiving!
