Folks,

I posted some backpacks in the exchange on Friday, and re-posted some boots that had previously been posted more than two weeks ago today (Saturday).

My threads were consolidated, and I received this message:

Exchange rules state:

You are only allowed 1 sales thread, per day, per forum.

So, is it now one thread per day, per forum, and the posts must be > 24 hours apart to fulfill the requirement ?

Please let me (us) know.

Thank You.

Personally, I only enforce the rule on a calendar day basis vs. a 24 hour period. So if you post late on Wednesday, and again early on Thursday, I won't merge the threads unless you post a second thread in the same category on the same day. (That said, any item listed can only be listed in that one venue within the Exchange, not multiple areas.)

My colleagues may have a differing opinion and in the end, it is only Spark Spark 's decision which will matter.

Perhaps he will see my tag and reply.

Thanks for looking into this.

This is news to me, and if 24 hours is the rule, then I will certainly follow it.

Just have never had this tagged before...

I use the 24 hour period since we have people from multiple time zones posting in the Exchange. If I just went by my own it wouldn’t be fair to others.

Understood.

If this is the case, is a clarification to the exchange rules warranted ?

Since the definition of "day" seems to be applied differently by different mods, we hillbillies out here end up with a certain level of confusion.

At least I do.

Your call, Gentlemen...

Since rycen rycen handles the bulk of the day to day business in the Exchange, I'd be inclined to defer to him on this and follow his interpretation. So, unless Spark Spark says otherwise, that should be the interpretation to carry forward.

Boru13 Boru13 and I are more like the button men that get called in to administer beatings and get rid of the bodies afterward.

( knarfeng knarfeng is too civilized for such behavior. ☺️)
