Executive on the Key Ring

Is the Vic Executive a little too big for the key ring or does it work?
I've got a classic there now and usually keep either a small tinker or
a case stockman in my pocket. For those times when I need the utility
of a SAK but have my stockman on me, I want my key ring knife to be
as robust as I can comfortably carry on a key ring. I've been finding the classic to suffice when I've got the stockman in the pocket. But just wanted to be prepared should I need more SAK sometime.

What do you folks say?

I'd say it depends a lot on how you carry your keys and how many you carry. Definitely the Executive is well suited as a keyring knife unless you carry a ton of keys in your pocket. I carry my keys on a belt clip so don't worry about the size or weight. The Exec is not that much bigger than your Classic and is well worth the extra size IMHO.

I see. I've been having trouble carrying keys as the load has been growing so maybe its time I investigated a belt clip. What do you use?
Is it one of those retractable jobbies? Do the keys hang outside your
pocket?? Is there a model that clips to your belt that suspends your keys
inside your pocket???

Thanks Tim.

I used the Ok Key Safe for years. It goes on your belt & then you snap the keyring on or off via a spring loaded clip. Works great.

I use a long Carabiner. It clips to my belt loop above my pocket and allows the keys to slip into the pocket if I want. Over the years I have used everything from simple to fancy. All have worked pretty well. I don't like the retractables.
