A friend of mine recently mentioned that he used to have a model called an Executive back in about the late 80's. He asked me if I've ever seen one because he would love to get his hands on another one. I told him I would see what I could find. Anyway I haven't been able to find a shred of anything anywhere on the Internet, could anyone shed some light on this mystery for me? Thanks very much.

I believe the Executive (C04) was a smaller version of the Hunter, similar in size to the Spur, but without the Kraton inlay. It was introduced in 1983. According to The Spyderco Story, 30 of them were inlaid with dinosaur bone and given to Spyderco employees and suppliers. Wouldn't I like to get my hands on one of those?

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow....in Australia it's tomorrow already.

Hi Clay. Thanx. The dino bone wasn't really inlaid, it was a full surface scale. Santa Fe Stoneworks did the dino bone.

The Executive was a C04 (smaller version Hunter). 2-1/8th inch, drop-point blade. It came serrated or plain, both left and right-hand versions. In 1995 it had a MSRP of around $90.00

Great small knife!
