I got a text Monday from my buddy Kris. He informed me there would be a package heading my way. Having been on the receiving end of his gift giving before I knew the level of generosity is amazing. So Tuesday evening Kris and I had a great phone conversation and he informed me the package would be arriving today.

Anything of value or packages I have sent to where I work because I have had issues with the rural mail where I live. So the anticipation of the mail delivery was getting the better of me. As luck would have it I had to test drive a customer's vehicle to verify the repair fixed the problem just as the mail arrived.

When I got back to the shop I waisted no time opening the package. To say I was shocked by the unexpected contents of an expected package would understate it. I was struck with awe and gratitude and a host of emotion.

Time to show what caused such feelings.

Kris, thank you doesn't seem to be big enough to express what this gift and your friendship means to me.

Chris

Whoa ..... A knife from the legend himself!!!! That's a mighty mighty gift. Well done Kris.

Hey Chris that is some fantastic knife to be gifted, congrat's. I was going to post a picture in the " Hunting with Trad's" thread, but then now I see this thread.

Every year I take a different knife into the deer woods ,I try to find out if it's a ' lucky" knife or not. This is the proto when those fixed blade Zulu's were created by Tony & it was a lucky knife for sure. I hope yours brings you great luck on hunts for many years, and every day.

Oh my, what a friend! And the knife isn't too bad either!

It's absolutely amazing the friendships that are made here on this little part of the internet we call the porch. I would have loved to have seen your face when you opened that package Chris and Kris your generosity and level of care for a friend just went legendary.
