Well, that didn't happen.....

By way of introduction, that was supposed to be the delivery date of my first Fiddleback Forge knife, a production Bushfinger w/black micarta scales. Refreshed the tracking app a few hundred times, but alas, the postal gods deemed otherwise. Hopefully tomorrow.

Hi all, been lurking & admiring all the beautiful knives, then finally ordered the Bushfinger. I've got a few Spyderco folders, a Sebenza, various vendor giveaways, but for some time now FF knives have caught my eye, & I have the production Bushfinger coming, but I really want one of the handmade ones. Maybe a Minimuk, F2, Hiking Buddy......I love the look of Coffeebag Burlap.

Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow, see if I can get lucky & snag one on Fiddleback Friday.

Cheers,

W

Welcome aboard. I'm hoping the shipping gods are generous to you today. And good luck at FF. But, if that doesn't work out, a call to Phillip will solve your problem for sure.

Thank you, honored that my first post is replied to by the man himself! Looking forward to joining in on Fiddleback Friday even if I am not able to snag one. I've been looking at the stock at the Outpost & a couple others, have been so close to pulling the trigger, but somehow it would seem a little more special to get one here directly.

Ah, my prod. Bushfinger is "out for delivery", so today should be a good day!

And pardon my ignorance, but where would I call Philip?

Thanks & good luck to all

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Prod. Bushfinger! Good luck today!

I also picked up a production Bushfinger and am thoroughly impressed. We have some camping this summer, and I am looking forward to putting it through its paces. Such as they are (I am not a huge woodsman by any means).

Got it! What a fine piece of steel! And razor sharp. Looking forward to using this one, really comfortable handle & great heft in the hand.

I'm really stoked that I was able to shark a couple handmades today! I really wanted a tapered tang, 1/8" stock blade, so the Recluse ticked that box. And I'm so looking forward to holding the Neckmuk, what a beauty. One question, I've looked all over to try to find the size of the Neckmuk. Is it larger or small than a Stubbymuk? Looks like maybe 2 1/4 or 2 1/2" blade?

Thanks to all that sent welcomes, hope everyone got what they wanted this Friday. Now I am going to be on the lookout for something like an F2 in Coffee Bag burlap, tapered tang, etc. Gotta have some restraint, though, just bought these three, so need to watch from the bleachers for a while:)

Minimuk (7 1/2"OAL - 3 1/2" blade), Stubbymuk (5 3/4"OAL - 2 5/8" blade), Neckmuk (5 3/8"OAL - 2 3/8" blade)

To elaborate a bit: I find the handle of the Neckmuk to be more comfortable, but I like the blade of the Stubbymuk better. Honestly, I think my perfect knife would have the Neckmuk handle with a 3" Pocket Kephart blade, though. The Minimuk is fun to use in the kitchen, but I'm sure some people would find the cord-wrapped handle a bit too thin. I love the look of the cord-over-leather, though.

Thanks for the info! Man, that link just is a want list! Got the Recluse & Neckmuk on the way, I'll be really selective now & look for a small/medium size like Hiking Buddy, F2, maybe Baby Bushboot, etc in a scale combo that moves me. I want to get the thinnest blade stock possible for good slicing, general utility use.

See you next Friday!
