Well I just bought the last 7A from NGK this week. A stonewashed, waveless, combo blade which USPS should be dropping off today:D...I'm really not a combo fan...but it was the last one and the serrations will be OK for cutting strings and small ropes at work. This will be my first Emerson since letting go of my STR'd framelock CQC14 this past fall...huge regret....now I find myself wanting another 14 as well...then maybe a mini waveless7B...I think I'm going thru another Emerson Phase again....;)

I got one a couple months ago and it's my first Emerson. It's been my edc since then, replacing my Spyderco Military (which I still enjoy on the weekends) during the week. Both are great knives but the 7a blade is a bit shorter adn more suited to my edc needs.

Well, I flipped my 7a with less than 3 days of pocket time:o, towards a Burke Pro Rockstar...great knife BTW:D. Going thru Emerson withdrawal, I found a Stonewashed plain edge 7B off Ebay, and ended up buying it. I always wanted to try a Tanto.., and if it's good enough for Lycosa ;) I have to give it a try. Well, the 7b showed up today...pics will be up shortly, and what a great knife...what is odd is the blade is marked CQC-7A? Do they etch the blades prior to grinding??? Is this knife a lottery winner? What gives?

Glad you got the CQC7B, Dave. I have a '99 & it's the one knife that I probably won't ever get rid of. I don't know why the knife is marked an A, but my '99 CQC7B's box was marked an A. Odd.

You're gonna like it....by any chance is it like the one in the top left (please excuse the lousy pic)?
