Is anybody watching this on the History Channel? Looks like some typical reality show crap in it, but I am interested in the knives/blades the team is carrying. Tried to find details on the web, but haven't seen any.

a similar thread was started in the wilderness section of the board. So far I don't think any of the blades besides a kukri have been identified.

Can someone link me to the wilderness section? Sorry guys, new to the site.

The gerber fixed blade is Yari II tanto, I believe. You can see that he carries it in a sheath, so def. a fixed blade. Sad that "life-long" mountain guides still have no taste in knives.

The survivalist's knife looks good, but it appears to be double-edged..? This would be a poor bushcraft choice unless he uses it like a double bit axe. I.e. one side is very sharp for carving straight-grained wood, and the other is duller for striking firesteels, knots, etc.

The woman is carrying a Ka-Bar in a spec-ops combat master sheath but...she never uses it. Guess its kinda an accessory, though props to her for the good sheath choice.

The journalist fellow doesn't seem to be packing anything.

The woman used her knife in the last episode. The one where Benedict get's Malaria. She was using it to skin some wood.
