Hey All!:D

Check this puppy out!

I have yet to purchase a Stag 110 or anything with file work and am currently trolling Ebay for anything that comes along. I saw this one early on and decided to track it to see where it would end up selling. Earlier Stag or Elk or PearlMicadon 110s were usually running $200 or so. I never once thought this little gem would go for over $500!

The Stag is nice and the filework is okay, but $500!!!???

To each his own. As a collector, I personally prefer the knives the way they came from the factory. If this work had been done at the factory I might have paid that amount but as a third party rework knife I feel it is worth far less than what this knife sold for. However, if you want it and you can afford it, go for it!

The knife is a decent custom, I like the stag, but $500!? Maybe I should start engraving some of my customs and selling them on the bay!?
MM out

Engraving can add some $$$...and he *almost* had me...until I saw the filework. Was hoping for something a lil' more exciting...*shrug*

If I did the same work, scale replacement would be around $50-70 + $30 in materials, including the liners....filework would be another $50...send out for engraving (figure $75-100)

Add $70 for the initial purchase (yes, I know, they can be had for less)

Top-most I can figure is $320...a far cry from $500...!

But, somebody out there wanted it bad enough to cough up the $$$...and that's what really matters most. You can spend hours and hours on something....have it perfect...but if it doesn't appeal to people...not worth much at all.
