Experience with Case knives repair/replacement?

I've never returned a knife to a manufacturer for a problem, but I just bought a new Case Mini-trapper (yellow cv) that's unacceptable to me. The clip blade has excessive wobble and rubs the center liner when closed.

Anyway, the knife is on its way back to Case. What do you think I should expect as far as turn-around time? Do you think they will repair it, and that it will take 6 weeks to do it, or are they likely to just send me a replacement, which might take a few days? Just curious as to what I should expect. Thanks for any replies! ;)

P.S. Let's not turn this into another thread bashing or questioning the quality of Case knives in general - this knife is an exception, not the rule, IMO.

CASE replaced my knife and I live in the EU not the US so I regard this as stellar service. It took about a month, I would think you will probably get your knife back in the same time.I suspect they will replace it not fix that one. With holiday season on us you might get some delay but I'm sure they will serve you properly.

I have an orange g10 copperlock that stopped locking and the spring went all floppy (perfectly understandable). Then a rivet fell out of the scale on the pivot end. Never did figure out what was goin on there. I got it back in about six weeks. If they repaired it they polished it up and reedged it. I just assumed that they'd repair due to the problem. But I can't twll whcich they did.

I've only dealt with Case service a couple times. It was when Shirley was still working there, she was a terrific lady..

They did a great job on the repairs. Hard telling if they will repair or replace, but I'm sure they will do what it takes to make you happy

Well I'm about to send in a Case Bose Norfolk and I'll report back to let you know. But I have heard good things about them and my hopes are high.

A few years ago I sent them my Case/Bose Lockback Whittler, that had the two smaller blades very "lazy". Came back to me in the UK, at no charge, with both blades working like Tony himself had worked his magic on them!
Excellent service - I doubt if you will be disappointed.

I recently sent a knife back to Case for repair. Turnaround from the time I sent it in until I got it back was about 3 weeks. They sent out a post card when they received it. The knife I sent in had a bone scale that started flaking. Quality of the repair was excellent. Knife was cleaned up and polished.
