Experience with grip tape inserts?

I have a microtech socom elite with grip tape inserts, it was an impulse buy.

Do you have experience with grip tape inserts? Does it shred pockets? How does it wear over time?

I put some grip tape on my Kershaw Shallot. It is holding up good. I haven't had a problem with it shredding pockets but its not on the clip side. It is very rough on your hand when you reach in your pocket, but it does wear down a little over time and gets a little better, but its still rough. Other then that it has awesome grip and should last a long time

The closest thing to grip tape on a knife I have is the "Trac-tek" on my blur and its not to bad on my pants. However I do have regular grip-tape on the palm

side grip of my G29 and its horrible on my waist band, I can't even have it on the left side [thats against my body] cause it'll rub my side raw in 30 minutes or less. (I carry IWB between the 4 & 5 o'clock position)​

I have carried mine for about a year. It doesn't shred pockets because its inlaid.
