Hi folks,

does anyone have any experience with traditional Pukko ?

Is there a better manufacturer : Kellam, Hell, Roselli,... ???

Thanks for replies

And I'm just amazed that I never, in my twenty-odd years of collecting and using production and custom knives, owned or thought of owning these knives. Just got these a few months ago, and they were two of the sharpest knives out of the package that I have ever owned. Very simple design, time-tested and proven.

Kellam Puukko's have my vote. :)

Kellam, Roselli, and Jarvenpaa, among others, are Finnish, which is the origin of the term puukko. Helle are Norwegian, also very good, and you might like to look at the Swedish Moras for a lighter weight. www.ragweedforge.com carries a wide selection.

here are mine:

all great users. Helle and Karesuando.

You can also buy puukko "kits" and make them yourself - which is exactly what I did to make my first knife...still have it!
