I’m considering pulling the trigger on a Heretic knife but it’s not a brand I’m familiar with.

i don’t recall ever seeing them mentioned on the forum.

Do any of you have anything good or bad to say about them? They are pretty expensive so I’m hoping to become better educated.

Pre-thanks!

Do the math bro, follow along....

Buy a known brand of a model you love in the same purchase. You will get one of the following outcomes.

1. New brand is crap but you still got another knife you love hence 100% happy at worst.

2. New brand is great so now you have two great knives hence 200% happy.

Logic.

Yeah... That’s not how math or logic work.

They don't seem like they're as good of a value as a Microtech, but I bet they're nicely made. No way would a son of Tony Marfione make bad knives, lol

WValaltakis and Sharp & Fiery - I received my Heretic two days ago and I have to say I’m impressed.

I got the $440 Martyr H009-2A-TA tan aluminum stonewashed Tanto and I’d definitely classify it as a “mid-tech” quality knife.

Most of their models don’t cost as much but I would expect them to meet a high bar.

Anyway, thank you for the advice regarding the origin of the brand.

Joe
