Experiences with a Don Maxwell Knife ?

Approx. 12 months ago I got one of my co-workers interested in custom knives. He's restricting himself to buyin' 1 custom a year (his first buy was a Kit Carson Model 4). Last night he brought over his newest possession ~ a Don Maxwell Model F7-4. Very nice liner lock !

8.5" ATS-34 liner lock.....gold anodized thumb stud, jeweled gold anodized titanium liners, gold anodized titanium backspacer,
and dovetailed gold anodized titanium bolsters. The mastodon ivory scales were perfection and blade action satin.

I've never heard of Don Maxwell. Anyone have any experiences with his blades?
