Please post your experiences with recent Boker traditional pocket knives, especially the Boker 492 22. I am considering buying one and wanted your input. Many thanks!

All of the traditional Boker knives I've purchased in the last few years have all been of excellent quality. Best traditional in it's price range, IMO.

Sorry though I'm not familiar with that exact model number. The knives I've purchased have been AG Russell / Boker Swing Guards, two of the grenadil anniversary pocketknives, a beer barrel folder, and a trapper with grooved bone. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase any of these again.

Böker -Germany- carbon knives I have are: 3 whittlers (really good pattern) 3 Large Stockman, Copperhead, Congress, Barlow, Lock back, Canoe, Pen (stainless) Stag mini lockback(stainless). No bad knives here at all! Minimal if any gaps, solid W&T, sharpen well, no blade play, Decently radiused scales (quite thick too comp with CASE). The end of the spring where they round off can be a bit crudely finished-but this does not interfere with handling or give rough edges.

In my experience, so far, they have shown better overall consistency/quality than their counterparts from CASE and Queen Cutlery (though when these are good they're very good) Böker represent credible value and an interesting alternative, let's not forget they've been at it since 1869!
