Experiences with Fallkniven?

I have 2 F-1's. They are great little working knives. They are like the knife equivalent of those plastic insulated cups, they aren't fancy but they are very efficient.

Fallkniven makes great knives! If you are looking for some reviews, just check the search function. I did a decent review of the G-1 on the Review forum. I have handled most of their models, and find the quality to be consistant throughout. You may want to get the knife with a black coating on though to aid in rust resistance.

Thanks for the help.

I had the impression that Fallkniven made "no nonsense" stuff. Their prices seemed quite realistic, too. I read a few magazine articles in Tacticle Knives about their stuff.

BTW, I've picked up a few issues if Tactical Knives off the newstand. Is this a reputable magazine to read? I know most mags tend to give their big advertisers a great review, is TK the same?

Thanks agian, this has been a helpful board.

Ditto, great no-frills no-nonsense knives. I believe Normark makes some nice Kydex stuff for them as well.

Hands-down my favorite knife company for production fixed blades. The F1 is definitely my favorite production fixed blade. The new F2 has grown on me as well. Although officially designated as a "fishing knife", actually has a pretty stout blade and I have found it very well suited for general outdoor activities as well.

I have only the best words about Fällkniven products!
Recently they seem to stick with bigger designs like Bowie or Mine Knife. I like smaller knives, F1 and S1 Forest Knife are my strong favorites for outdoors use.

You should be really hard pressed to find more knife for each your dollar.

I have a F1 with open leather sheath and am very pleased with both, knife and sheath.
The only problem is sharpening the convex grind, which takes a little practice to do properly.
Quality and design are way above average, IMO.
