Sorry it took so long but here is the final knife. It is the one that Anne quoted as saying that it was an experimental blade and she was correct in assuming that it was from late 1996 as that is when the put out their first numbered batch of CRK Regulars using ats-34 but after that they switched to BG-42. This knife is quite amazing. It features polished satin flats and a stonwashed blade and also features ats-34 steel which it should not have. A combination that I have never seen before on a Regular and really should not exist. Like all of the other knives I have the original birthcard and box and as you can see the letter from Anne stating that it is an original CRK and the grind is original as well. I had sent it in to get looked at as I didn't know what exactly I had and she wrote me a letter verifying its authenticity. At the time it also had a sticky lockbar and Anne told me that Chris personally worked on this knife as he had said the he remembered making this experimental blade but opted for another design as the polished flats could easily get scratched while in the pocket as they stick out above the TI frame. No one could telll me how this knife made it out of the factory but I was just extatic that I had a real experimental blade on my hands and it also was verified by Anne as well. Out of all of the knives this one really means a lot as it is a part of CRK history as it was the time when they switched from Originals to Regulars and the different blades configuarations and stells that Chris was deciding upon at the time, really a rare piece and it is in mint, pristine condition. I hope you guys like it and it is the last of the 8 in the set.

That really is a special knife to own, thanks for sharing it with us.

Keep in touch Bro.

Awesome Brend!! The best for last!! So I assume and I know I shouldn't do that.. from reading Anne's letter, that the, whats the proper terminology, handels are not marked with the three digit code ie. C 96 as the later models are? Thus making it impossible for her to pin point the exact date of production? Thanks again for sharing!
