Experimented with 3D contouring and texturing on a persian style blade...

Please forgive the cellphone pics and poor lighting. This blade is made from Aldo's 1095, 9" OAL, 4.25" blade, 3/16" thick, bocote handles, aluminum pins. I usually contour my handles to promote comfortable grip, as so:

This time, I decided to try out my new rotary tool with sanding drum, and give it some texture, since the wood just felt kinda boring. I really like how it turned out.

The faceting is certainly a nice touch, and a vast improvement over the previous one (in my opinion). The pins are much nicer than the bolts, too.
