Expired membership idea

I started off with a Gold Membership which expired sometime ago and then I picked upa Platinum Membership. Once my Gold Membership expired I was the same as any old user. Do you guys think that users who have made contributions to this site should at least have some kind of recogniztion that they have supported the site? While the perks of a paid membership would be gone, a simple title might be nice like "Past supporter" or whatever. Kind of stinks to be lumped back in with people who don't support the site. It doesn't really matter to me as long as I keep renewing my membership, but it would be nice to recognize those users who have helped to support the site in the past.
