I felt I should post about why I`ve been so cranky lately (more so than usual ;)). For the last 2 1/2 weeks I`ve been suffering with a case of shingles. If you don`t already know, shingles is a rash type illness accompanied by severe pain in the affected area. Mine went from my spine all the way around to the center of my chest on my left side. I`ve had poison ivy and poison oak, they don`t compare to this. I could not lean back while sitting or driving, the pain was terrible. I`m very grateful it`s finally gone.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better. I've never had shingles, but I have heard it's quite painful.

Don't lose all your crankiness, it's what makes you special...:D

My younger Brother Kevin has the Shingles. I never seen anyone more miserable 6-12 months ago. He still has symptoms. He kept showing up every AM for work (HVAC) even tho every move hurt like hell, his boss would tell him to take time off and get well but he would not, so finally boss got him a full time helper (apprentice, gopher, ladder mover, etc). My brother is a stubborn, tough, sombitch, wouldn't normally complain if you cut his left arm off, but them Shingles really busted him up for months.
If the damned vaccine wasn't so expensive i would for sure get one, might get one anyways. Stay well John!

Glad you're past that John, shingles can be excruciating. Definitely a reason to be cranky!

Glad you're feeling better. Remember that in the future, whatever you're going through, you don't have to suffer alone or in silence. The prayers and positive feelings of your friends and supporters can ease your burden.

Dang! And I thought my poison ivy was bad right now.

Glad its all over for you.

How does one catch shingles?

that sucks, john, srry to hear it. I've seen the comercials, ouch!

cranky works well round here though, i'm always cranky myself, now worries :)

I had shingles on the top of my head and along the right side of my forehead. They thought I might loose the vision in my right eye. It's the most miserable thing I ever had. It's been over 8 months and I can still scratch my head in on spot and have it tingle the nerve straight to my eyebrow. All I can say is hang in there :)

I'm glad you're feeling better! I am hoping that I don't come down with them. I have had chicken pox and I have seen and heard the stories. But, I know they can't begin to describe it...

Glad you are feeling better John! There is no way to be comfortable and not be in pain while you have them.

DAMMIT! A good friend and employee of mine has had them twice in his 40s...he is a tough little shit and it flat knocked him out of his element.

Well you been great to me as I flip flopped on what I needed and wanted so no worries here John.
