Why don't knife makers post more info on the logic behind their specific designs? It seems it is just general "so and so decided he wanted to make a sharp knife for his son", or "we made this knife to never fail in the woods". I can't fine anything as to why a blade has a swedge angled a certain way, or why a particular grind was chosen for example. It sure would be interesting to know. Does that make sense? Thanks in advance. Love reading the discussions.

You should check out Allen Elishewitz's video series on the Hogue EX-04.
Fairly in depth yet simple explanation behind his award winning and very unique design.

Here is part 3 of the series.

Another great video series is the Chris Reeve shop tour. He shares many details and philosophies behind the timeless classic CRK Sebenza.

Thanks, guys. I'll be sure to check out the links. It is also interesting that from a marketing perspective there would be an abundance of explanations.
